Comments: This is an extremely rare 18k yellow gold Rolex Oyster Chronograph Ref. 6238, known to collectors as the "Pre-Daytona" which was produced from 1962 until 1967 in approximately 3,600 examples. The Ref. 6238 being a sports watch, very few examples were ever produced in 18k. The watch has a beautiful champagne dial, blue tachometer, yellow gold markers, and yellow gold pushers. The case is in mint condition and the watch has been serviced. Circa 1960's. One of the nicest ones we have ever owned.
