Rolex 15.. - Date Oyster, 18k gold case and bracelet.
Comments: This is a rare and desirable 18k yellow gold Rolex Date Ref. 15.., which was produced between approximately 1962 and 1980. This example shows very little evidence of wear. It is in excellent condition. Unfortunately, many solid gold Rolex sports watches were overpolished by watchmakers, but not this example. This beautiful timepiece has a gorgeous and original silver Rolex dial, with original solid gold luminous hands, mint condition smooth gold bezel, and a mint condition 18k gold case. It comes on an 18k yellow gold riveted Rolex Oyster bracelet. Circa 1960’s. The Date differs from the Datejust primarily in that the date function can not be adjusted on its own, but must be advanced by moving the hour hands. This is a wonderful example of the rare and desirable Rolex Date Ref. 15.. and it’s even a Certified Chronometer. Great vintage look – especially with the machined gold bezel, which is not typically found in such sharp condition!
