Comments: This is an extremely rare and desirable 18kt rose gold Rolex Ref. 6085, which was produced beginning in the 1950’s. Although the Ref. 6085 was a popular model in stainless steel and yellow gold (although not as popular as Ref. 6084), very, very few examples were made in 18kt rose gold. Many of the rose gold Ref. 6085’s were sold in South America or made up for special orders. Those which survive are highly coveted by collectors. It comes on an 18k rose gold STRETCH rivet Rolex Oyster bracelet. Circa late 1940’s/early 1950’s. Even prior to the wristwatch hobby taking off during the late 1980’s, this watch was tough to find in exceptional condition.
